Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Structural Engineering Specialist to join our Water Practice at one of the major Texas/Oklahoma City locations. You will design and analyze structures for water and wastewater facilities, and coordinate with drafters and engineers through the full project cycle.

You will leverage FE software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or RISA 3D), Civil 3D and REVIT while collaborating with field teams and managers to deliver high-quality solutions. Travel is limited, and a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• FE exam (EIT) completed or in progress.
• Limited travel and field work required.
• Proficiency with finite element software (STAAD.PRO, SAP2000 or RISA 3D), SPCOLUMN, LPILE, HILTI, CIVIL 3D and MS Office.
• Experience with REVIT is beneficial.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. with valid driver’s license and pass screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis using codes and standards.
• Develop structural plans, designs and layouts.
• Provide drawings/sketches for construction.
• Research design options and prepare load cases.
• Review shop drawings and assist with cost estimates.
• Utilize show CAD/CAE tools and attend project meetings.
