Job summary

Anne Arundel County is seeking a limited lead and skilled worker to oversee maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. You will supervise crews, inspect sites, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating materials orders, recording maintenance data in CMMS and GIS, training staff, and assisting with planning and project execution. Strong knowledge of pipes, pumps, valves, and field operations is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school; two or more years of maintenance/repair/construction experience in water distribution or wastewater collections systems.
• Must hold Maryland Class II wastewater license or Class I water distribution license; higher licenses accepted.
• Ability to supervise, train and evaluate subordinate staff; read blueprints and schematics; operate field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in maintenance activities of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Inspect job sites and supervise crews; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Record data in CMMS and GIS; prepare routine reports; coordinate material orders.
