Job summary

Central States Water Resources in Mandeville, LA is seeking an experienced technician to support electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for water and wastewater operations. You will install monitoring technologies (Hightide), VFDs, and control panels, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, calibrate equipment, and analyze circuits to ensure safe, compliant operation.

This role requires working in challenging weather, lifting up to 75 pounds, and being on call for emergencies;

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation including control panels.
• Must have water/wastewater experience.
• Minimum high school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Install monitoring and control technologies (Hightide), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and industrial control and electrical equipment (control panels, flow meters, etc.).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair equipment, and perform circuit analysis.
• Calibrate equipment according to specified standards.
• Ensure that equipment and systems meet regulatory and compliance standards.
• Participate in safety programs and work in a safe, accurate, and compliant environment.
• Initiates work orders pertaining to utilities equipment and information systems, and ensures work orders are accurate and complete.
• Ensures compliance with all electrical code requirements.
• Performs work on water and wastewater system and related equipment as necessary.
