Job summary

Central States Water Resources in Ocean Springs, MS seeks a Water/Wastewater Maintenance Technician to support daily facility operations and ensure safe equipment performance through regular inspection and preventive maintenance. You will assist with regulatory compliance, respond to on-call emergencies, and maintain logs.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and OSHA training is a plus; prior experience with large machinery is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA safety training is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience operating large machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance at facilities
• Diagnose equipment failures
• Inspect lift stations
• Service motors and pumps
• Flush hydrants and line flushes
• Inspect gate valves and valves
• Mark distribution facilities
• Install meter boxes and valve cans
• Maintain grounds and buildings
• Assist with line repairs
• Maintain daily maintenance log
• Work on call in emergencies
