Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to oversee Brevard and Indian River County, FL projects. The role ensures projects are planned, executed, and completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining client relationships and company standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and coordination with owners, consultants, and subs. The PM will mentor project staff and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 6–10 years of construction management experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules and recovery plans.
• Manage owner contracts, subcontractor agreements, procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Lead meetings with owners, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Monitor safety, quality control, and project performance; manage risks and change orders.
