Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a North Carolina Water Group Construction Administration Services Intern in Charlotte.

The role supports project management across multiple construction sites, including field inspections, documentation, and coordination with contractors, engineers, and owners. The candidate will assist with shop drawings, materials testing coordination, and daily reports while gaining exposure to water/wastewater infrastructure projects and HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail and ability to solve problems
• Strong communication skills and teamwork
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and software familiarity
• Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture

Responsibilities

• Assist construction project management tasks across NC sites
• Support onsite inspections for contract compliance
• Coordinate materials testing and documentation
• Review shop drawings and prepare site reports
• Assist with Owner's facility documentation and coordination
• Communicate with contractors, engineers and owners as needed
