Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a high-energy Client Manager for Water and Wastewater Utilities. The role focuses on selling outsourced Operations & Maintenance solutions, building relationships with municipal leaders and industrial clients, and driving long-term contracts.

The ideal candidate brings a strong sales network, a persuasive communication style, and deep water/wastewater knowledge. The position allows fully virtual work or a hybrid arrangement near office locations, with up to 75%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10–15 years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Knowledge of O&M, Contract Operations, water, wastewater, and public works industry.
• Ability to prospect for leads and determine client management activities to capture, maintain, and grow client accounts; lead others through the sales process, identify new offerings, negotiate, and support multi-million contracts.
• Membership in professional/technical associations.
• Frequent travel by car and air (up to 75%).
• Water/Wastewater Operator certification, PE registration, or other relevant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell the Vision: build relationships with municipal leaders and industry clients and articulate our value proposition.
• Network at conferences and industry events to raise awareness of our name and capabilities.
• Seal the Deal: craft proposals, negotiate contracts, and close long-term agreements.
• Be the Connector: collaborate with operations, engineering, and technology teams for smooth handoffs.
• Stay in the Know: monitor market trends, competitors, regulatory shifts, and emerging startups.
