Job summary

Clark Dietz, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineer to join the Civil/Environmental Team in our Kenosha, WI office. The selected candidate will assist with planning, design, and construction phase services for wastewater, potable water, and storm water infrastructure projects.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, WI/IL PE license, and 6+ years in hydraulics. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and hydraulic software is desired. A valid driver’s license and travel to sites are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering is required; M.S. preferred.
• IL or WI PE license is required
• 6+ years of experience in hydraulics with emphasis on wastewater, water treatment, water distribution, or storm water modeling
• Ability to perform calculations to support detailed design recommendations
• Strong communication skills and ability to write technical reports and participate in meetings
• Collaboration with team members across multiple offices
• Experience with AutoCAD (Civil3D) and relevant hydraulic software is desired
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

• Design tasks including computations and analysis for municipal infrastructure
• Develop solutions and evaluate life cycle costs for improvements
• Create drawings and models following design standards
• Prepare reports, plans, specs, cost estimates, and permit applications
• Support construction phase services for water and wastewater facilities
• Interpret construction plans for contractor and client
• Review shop drawings, submittals, change orders, and as-builts
• Maintain project documentation and daily field reports
• Participate in progress meetings and project close-out
• Draft correspondence and communicate with stakeholders
• Assist with securing work from clients and maintaining relationships
