Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking an civil/environmental engineer to contribute to municipal water and wastewater projects across the Southeast. You will create drawings with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, develop design calculations, and coordinate with clients and regulators.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, EIT or ability to obtain within six months, and at least two years of AutoCAD experience. Growth is supported through mentoring and formal training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical engineering; Master’s preferred.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD design experience.
• Experience with pump stations or municipal water/wastewater facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Develop specifications, calculations, and flow diagrams for water/wastewater projects.
• Assist planning and design of municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Support design and permitting of wastewater pump stations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and regulators.
• Assist with permit applications and documentation.
• Review and refine designs to ensure quality and compliance.
• Support delivery to meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
