Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Coordinator/EIT to join our Hawaii Water Business Group, based in Honolulu or Maui. You will work on detailed designs of water and wastewater systems under the guidance of a Project Engineer, shaping solutions for public health and sustainable infrastructure.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and interest or experience in water/wastewater facilities, with AutoCAD or MicroStation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
• Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Water/Wastewater Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to:

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer
• Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
• Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
• Must be able to work in a team environment
