Job summary

The City of Plant City (FL) is seeking a System Program Integrator to build and maintain computing, control, and communications systems for its water and wastewater facilities. You will integrate PLCs, SCADA, HMI and telemetry solutions across vendors, ensuring safe operation of valves, sensors, and instrumentation.

Applicants should have PLC programming and SCADA experience, knowledge of radio telemetry, and the ability to read electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in PLC programming, control and instrumentation for water/wastewater facilities and familiarity with SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of PLC ladder logic, HMI graphics, SCADA platforms, and industrial automation.
• Experience with radio communications (telemetry) software and hardware.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and apply electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Build computing systems by integrating hardware, software, networking and storage from multiple vendors.
• Maintain and troubleshoot control valves, flow, pressure, level transmitters and other instruments in water/wastewater systems.
• Design, develop, install, modify and test PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions; perform field service support.
