Job summary

Easton Utilities is seeking an Apprentice Water Dist. & WW Collections Operator I in Easton, MD.

The role includes operating and maintaining the water distribution and wastewater collection systems, with on-call requirements and opportunities to obtain required certifications within specified timeframes. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to obtain Water Distribution Certification within 18 months.
Ability to obtain Wastewater Collection Certification within 30 months.
Valid MD Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

Investigate and troubleshoot service issues to ensure quality water and wastewater service.
Communicate with customers about problems and solutions.
Install and repair water mains, services, hydrants, valves, and sewer mains as required.
Operate equipment such as air compressor, backhoe, sewer jetting machine, and other assigned tools.
Read maps and determine valves to isolate areas for maintenance or repairs.
Ensure job site safety with proper signage and traffic controls.
