Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school.
• 5+ years in water treatment or wells/reservoir operations and maintenance.
• 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience.
• Grade II Water Treatment Operator Certification (or equivalent).
• Grade IV Water Distribution Certification (or equivalent).
• HAZWOPER certification is required.
• Arizona Class D Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of up to eleven with coaching and evaluations.
• Oversee daily operations and maintenance across Gilbert's remote water infrastructure.
• Monitor SCADA systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan capital projects and technology upgrades for water assets.
• Prepare and manage the department budget, including forecasts and expenditures.
