The City of Morgan Hill is seeking a Utility Supervisor in the Water Division to supervise and coordinate water and wastewater maintenance activities. The role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage budgets and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in public works operations, with 2+ years in a supervisory role, and must obtain a Class A license within a year. AFSCME agency shop applies.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience, with at least two years in a lead supervisory role, in Public Works equipment operation and water/sewer maintenance functions.
• Possess a valid California Class A driver's permit within six months and a valid Class A driver's license within one year from date of hire.
• Must possess 3 of the 4 certificates listed: Water Distribution Grade III, CWEA Collection System Grade I, AWWA Backflow Tester, Grade II Water Treatment Operator.
• Work extended hours, pass spirometry test, and work in confined spaces.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate personnel for repair and maintenance of water distribution, wastewater collection, and meters.
• Provide contract administration and inspection of maintenance projects.
• Train and evaluate personnel and prepare performance evaluations.
• Prepare cost estimates for water and wastewater projects and supervise safety.
