Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record and drug screening.
• Experience or knowledge in maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, valves, gauges, backflow preventers and regulators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GPS data collection, blueprints and maps.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with coworkers, officials, public and regulators.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor labor and emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Become a main resource for Backflow Prevention, including inspections and regulations.
• Visually inspect backflow devices and maintain a Cityworks log.
• Prepare initial and follow-up notifications to consumers.
• Maintain a clean work environment at tanks, booster stations and offices.
• Operate and check equipment under supervision; troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with flushing hydrants to maintain chlorine residual and log flushing.
