Aqua America, Inc. is hiring a Utility Worker I for its Susquehanna location. The role focuses on repairing main breaks, service leaks, installing new services, and maintaining valves and hydrants.
You will also perform water main mark outs per PA One Call rules and conduct monthly leak detection using company equipment. Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will document work in the company’s order system via a handheld device and may operate a backhoe or related machinery.

Are you looking for a fantastic career at Aqua? We have a great opportunity for a Utility Worker at our Susquehanna location. The Utility Worker I will report directly to the Field Supervisor and be responsible for repairing main breaks and service leaks, installation of new services, and repairing/replacing valves and fire hydrants. Duties also include performing water main mark outs in accordance with the requirements of the PA One Call regulations. The Utility Worker I will also be responsible for performing monthly leak detection on Aqua facilities using company leak detection equipment. All work and time will be documented through the company’s work order system using a wireless handheld device.
Rate of pay: $29.87 #All employees hired or entering the bargaining unit on or after August 14, 2013 will receive three dollars ($3.00) per hour less than the classification wage rate. The wage reduction will be returned in one dollar ($1.00) increases once a year over a three (3) year period. Employee will receive annual contract increases.
