PPG Aerospace is seeking a Water Treatment Technician at our site in Sylmar, CA!

Hourly Pay Rate: $33.84

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm

Position Overview: As a Water Treatment Technician, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the delivery of quality products to our customers, impacting lives directly.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and control clarifier systems for efficient wastewater treatment.
2. Adjust flow rates, chemical dosages, and parameters to optimize performance.
3. Conduct water quality tests including turbidity, pH, and solids.
4. Record, analyze data, and make process adjustments.
5. Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
6. Troubleshoot operational issues to reduce downtime.
7. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
8. Prepare and submit performance and maintenance reports.
9. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace.
10. Participate in training to stay updated on best practices and technologies.
11. Collaborate with team members for efficient wastewater treatment.
12. Train new staff on operations and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Experience in wastewater treatment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of clarifier operations and environmental regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
