Job summary

Devine Management Consulting, LLC is seeking a Water Treatment Process Engineer to design, develop, test, and commission water and wastewater treatment systems, including membrane bioreactor (MBR) technologies.

The role involves designing integrated systems, creating PFDs and P&IDs, conducting pilot testing and commissioning, and collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers to advance system development. On-site site visits support technical sales and project delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of process engineering experience in water/wastewater treatment.
• Hands-on experience with MBR, membrane filtration, fouling management.
• Experience with process design, equipment selection, and integrated treatment systems.
• Startup or commissioning experience strongly preferred.
• Preferred: RO, industrial wastewater reuse, PLC controls, modular design.

TheWater Treatment Process Engineer will design, develop, test, and commission water and wastewater treatment systems, including membrane bioreactor (MBR) technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated water treatment systems, including biological treatment, membrane filtration, and pretreatment.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass balances, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct pilot testing, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on system development.
• Visit customer sites, assess treatment requirements, and support technical sales.

Requirements

• 3+ years of process engineering experience designing and building water or wastewater treatment systems.
• Hands‑on experience with MBR, membrane filtration, fouling management and cleaning strategies.
• Experience with process design, equipment selection, and integrated treatment systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, and analytical skills.
• Startup or commissioning experience strongly preferred.

Preferred: Reverse osmosis (RO), industrial wastewater reuse, PLC controls, or modular system design experience.
