Job summary

The City of Manhattan is seeking a Water/Wastewater Plant Operator to support daily plant operations, sampling, and lab testing. You will read process data, record results, and help ensure reliable water treatment and compliance.

Responsibilities include operating SCADA, performing inspections, and maintaining records. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; shift is Tue–Sat, midnight–8:00 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience or familiarity with SCADA systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor process equipment; take samples and adjust as needed.
• Operate SCADA systems and record data for process control.
• Perform routine inspections of plant facilities and equipment.
• Obtain samples, run laboratory tests, and report findings.
• Maintain proper records and monitor water supply levels.
