Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Chemistry, biology, or mechanical maintenance coursework is preferred.
• Experience with standard lab analyses is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate water plant pumps, electric motors, and chemical feed systems.
• Backwash filters and adjust chemical feeds based on lab results.
• Collect samples and test for free chlorine and chlorine residual.
• Maintain detailed records of run times, volumes, and energy use.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, valves, and meters.
• Inspect wells and monitor booster and storage levels.
• Keep plant areas clean and maintain grounds.
• Establish and maintain detailed operation and maintenance records.
