The City of Peoria, AZ is seeking a Utility Plant Operator I for the Greenway Water Treatment Plant to monitor and operate treatment processes and perform basic preventive maintenance. You will conduct routine inspections, identify issues, and assist with related tasks.

Shift work, including weekends and holidays, may be required. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and there is a strong emphasis on understanding standard and specialized techniques.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalency required.
• Preferred experience in a similar role or completion of Peoria Water Services internship.
• Solid understanding of standard and specialized techniques, methods, practices, procedures, and forms; tasks range from moderate to complex.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and perform basic preventative maintenance on treatment plants.Perform routine inspections and identify issues on processes and equipment at treatment plants.
• Complete related tasks as assigned.Shift work, weekends, holidays, standby and call-back duty may be required.
