We are recruiting for a Water Treatment Plant Operator at our Percy D. Miller Facility.

Starting Salary (based on Licensure):

• Operator Trainee - $35,401.60
• Operator 4 - $39,000.00
• Operator 3 - $42,993.60
• Operator 2 - $47,424.00
• Operator 1 - $49,753.60
• Lead Operator - $54,870.40

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees the proper functioning of pumps, motors, instrumentation, filters, and chemical feeders.
• Maintains operational parameters as specified by the Facility Manager, Chief Operator, or Shift Leader.
• Checks equipment and records data.
• Monitors SCADA and recording equipment to determine usage or flow.
• Collects samples from designated points.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to complete the Small Water Systems Operation and Maintenance Course within 6 months of employment.
• Ability to complete 3 facility Demonstrations of Capabilities (DOCs) within 9 months of employment.
