Job summary

City of Englewood is seeking a Water Plant Supervisor to oversee the Allen Water Treatment Plant operations, ensuring delivery of targets set by the operations manager and alignment with regulatory standards. The role collaborates with the operations superintendent and manager, supervising operators, planning schedules, and driving efficiency.

The successful candidate will lead SOP implementation, monitor water quality via SCADA tools, mentor staff, and participate in long-term asset planning

Qualifications

• 3+ years in treatment plant operations at a Class A facility
• Experience in process optimization and pilot studies
• Colorado Water Operator "A" Certificate or ability to obtain within 1 year

Responsibilities

• Oversee AWTP Operators and provide daily direction
• Manage shift schedules and approve leave requests
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State water regulations and sampling programs
• Implement and enforce SOPs and advise on operational improvements
• Collaborate with City Engineers and asset management for data collection and planning
• Engage in public relations and respond to inquiries and complaints
• Analyze water treatment processes to optimize quality and reliability
• Utilize SCADA and field sensors to monitor key water parameters
• Lead staff training and career development
