Job summary

City of Englewood is seeking an experienced Water Plant Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the AWTP, aligning with targets set by the operations manager to optimize treatment processes and overall efficiency.

You will plan and supervise AWTP Operators, manage shift schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, uphold safety, and mentor staff while working with engineers and asset management for long-term reinvestment planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in treatment plant operations at a Class A facility.
• Experience in process optimization and pilot studies; supervisory experience preferred.
• Colorado Water Operator "A" Certificate or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Valid Colorado driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of AWTP and direct Operators.
• Plan, organize, schedule, and evaluate operator performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through the sampling program.
• Implement and enforce SOPs; advise on maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with City Engineers and asset management for data collection and planning.
• Engage in public relations activities and plant tours.
