Veolia North America is seeking a reliable Water Treatment Operator to support daily operation of the Orleans Water Infrastructure in Illinois. You will perform basic plant duties, monitor equipment, collect samples, and maintain records while following EH&S standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills are essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to read instrument data.
• Experience with CMMS, Windows, or MS Office is a plus.
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment facilities following safety and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks in plant areas.
• Interpret work orders and carry out assigned tasks accurately.
• Perform simple calculations and record data from meters and gauges.
• Learn CMMS to schedule and complete work orders.
• Respond to emergencies and support weekend or on-call shifts.
• Complete documentation and maintain records of operations.
