Job summary

OUC - The Reliable One is seeking a Water System Operator in Orlando to monitor and operate our water distribution using SCADA. The ideal candidate holds a Class A license (or Class B with intent to obtain A within six months) and has at least five years of water systems experience.

This role requires adaptability for after-hours work, call outs, weekends, and holidays, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Class A public drinking water plant operator license (required by law).
• Consideration given to Class B license if able to obtain Class A within 6 months.
• Minimum of five years of related water systems experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate the water system using the SCADA System.
• Routinely collect water quality samples and monitor water quality.
• Investigate customer water quality inquiries.
• Log and report activities to the system Supervisor.
• Perform distribution system flushing and sampling.
• Respond to emergencies with minimal supervision.
