Job summary

Arizona Water Company in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Water Treatment Operator 3 to oversee operation and maintenance of production, treatment, storage and recharge facilities under supervision.

Responsibilities include on-site supervision in Operator 4's absence, troubleshooting pumping equipment and water treatment systems, collecting samples, training other staff, and responding to emergencies. Must lift 100 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of water production and treatment facilities, including arsenic and nitrate removal.
• Familiarity with ADEQ standards and procedures.
• Ability to operate SCADA and related field equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability for lifting and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operation and maintenance of all production, treatment, storage and recharge facilities as applicable.
• In the absence of the Water Treatment Operator 4, provide on-site supervision to all employees assigned to water production and treatment.
• Troubleshoot and repair problems related to pumping equipment, controls and water treatment facilities.
• Collect compliance, process control, and other necessary water samples related to water distribution system and water production and treatment facilities.
• Assist Water Treatment Operator 4 in providing on-site training to other employees assigned to water production and treatment.
• Must be available to respond to water production and treatment emergencies.
• Perform duties of Water Treatment Operator 1 and 2 and Serviceman or Servicewoman.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
