Job summary

Nexus Water Group in Georgia is seeking a diligent Water Distribution Operator to support pump systems, meters, and treatment processes. You will monitor readings, adjust treatments, and help maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires physical stamina, willingness to travel between sites, and on-call availability; prior water utility experience and a valid GA operator license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Requires 2–4 years mechanical experience with water treatment.
• Experience operating groundwater systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Activate pumps, valves and treatment equipment to move water through processes.
• Assist with emergency procedures for chemical spills or overflows.
• Read meters and gauges; adjust controls and retrieve reports.
• Maintain logs of meter readings, chemical usage and equipment.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety in daily operations.
