Essential Utilities, Inc. seeks an Operator I for the Crum Creek Water Treatment Plant (with potential duties at Ridley Creek). The role requires obtaining a Waterworks Class A license within three years and CDL with HazMat endorsement within the designated timeframe.

Overtime and lifting of up to 75 pounds are expected. Qualifications include an associate degree or two years of trade school, or two years in a waterworks-related field.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree or 2 years of trade school, or 2 years in waterworks or similar field.
• Must obtain Waterworks Class A license with required modules within 3 years, or face termination.
• CDL-Class C with HazMat endorsement; must obtain CDL within the specified time.
• Lift 75 pounds as part of labor-intensive work; PPE and safety rules must be followed.

Responsabilités

• Operate Crum Creek and Ridley Creek Water Treatment Plants, and related facilities as needed.
• Perform maintenance on pumps, instruments, and chemical feed equipment.
• Calculate chemical doses based on flow rates and treatment requirements.
• Adhere to all Aqua safety and HazMat procedures; participate in HazMat team activities if applicable.
