Job summary

Aquatech in Pasco, WA is hiring a full-time Mechanical Technician to support operations at our water treatment facility. You will maintain and troubleshoot pumps, valves, and rotating equipment, perform scheduled maintenance, and help manage spare parts and reports.

The role reports to the O&M Plant Manager, follows a 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule, and requires teamwork, strong math and communication skills, with preference for prior wastewater industry experience. Starting wage is $37.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting water treatment systems (pumps, motors, valves, piping).
• Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replacement of valves
• Carry out routine maintenance as per equipment schedules
• Lubrication of rotating equipment
• Pump alignment, bearing/seal replacement
• Arresting leaks
• Repair of chemical dosing pumps
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities
• Overall upkeep of the facility
• Be the maintenance lead and schedule preventative maintenance
• Coordinate with subcontractors
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities
• Advice on spare parts maintenance and inventory
• Housekeeping
