Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanic-in-Training in Dodge City, KS, to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water treatment facilities and related equipment. You’ll contribute to safe operations, lubricate and inspect machines, and help install and set up new equipment while maintaining records.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CMMS experience, and forklift familiarity. CMRT certification is preferred or obtainable within 3 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of water/wastewater treatment plants and related equipment.
• Safe work practices and adherence to safety protocols.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• CMMS experience and forklift familiarity are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water treatment facilities and related equipment.
• Lubricate equipment, check for malfunctions, and replace bearings or packing as needed.
• Inspect, tune engines, valves, regulators and perform pipe fitting tasks.
• Maintain safety and keep maintenance records for audits.
