Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical aptitude, and experience with CMMS and reading technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn maintenance principles and procedures.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to obtain required certifications and training necessary for the position.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment used in wastewater treatment and collection systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Repair and rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, blowers, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine effective corrective actions using sound mechanical practices.
• Perform equipment alignments, bearing replacements, lubrication, and other maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with the installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and facility improvements.
