Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Water Treatment Mechanic to perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment systems. You will lead technical maintenance tasks and projects to support optimal plant operations.

The role offers mobility across sites with a company service vehicle, enabling travel within the state and out-of-state. This is a great path toward senior mechanics or project management opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in water treatment operations is preferred.
  • 2 years of hands-on water and/or wastewater treatment experience.
  • Thorough understanding of equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications for data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex maintenance, repair, and installation of pumps, motors, valves, blowers, chemical feed systems, and other treatment equipment.
  • Diagnosing equipment and systems issues.
  • Assist with planning and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to support continuous plant performance and efficiency.
  • Monitors operational performance of mechanical systems and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to water operations, including production data and maintenance logs.
  • Provide guidance and training to entry-level technicians and staff professionals as needed.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Treatment Mechanic to perform advanced-level work in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment systems and related infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical maintenance tasks and projects to support optimal plant operations.

Anticiapted Salary range is $19.09 per hour to $31.86 per hour.
