Job summary

Kleinfelder seeks a Water/Wastewater Territory Manager to oversee facilities in the Midwest, leading multi-disciplinary teams across industrial and municipal water projects including treatment, reuse, and permitting. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Water/wastewater operator license required; Class 2 or higher Water preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and environmental regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, technologies, equipment, operations, and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical efforts for planning, studies, budgeting, technical management, coordination of multi-discipline engineering efforts, quality assurance, subcontractor management and contract administration.
  • Supervise staff and subcontractors to successfully deliver technical projects.
  • Participate in technical/project scoping activities and proposal presentations with targeted clients.
  • Mentor the technical development of staff and strengthen the team.
  • Identify new business opportunities for high growth and profitability.
  • Assist in the evaluation of prospective clients and opportunities, reinforcing sound business decision-making.

Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking a Water/Wastewater Territory Manager to oversee water and wastewater treatment facilities in our Midwest territory. This role involves leading and managing multi-disciplined teams for projects that include industrial water and drinking water treatment systems, wastewater treatment, water reuse, system integration, permitting, and client specific projects. In addition, this role will expand on your professional network via collaboration with peers in water practices and further develop your career on both technical and business development by leveraging our diverse portfolio of public and private water/wastewater clients across the Midwest territory.

  • Valid Water and/or Wastewater Operator License required; Class 2 or higher Water preferred.

  • Proficiency in computer applications used for data management, reporting, and operational analysis.
