Job summary

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking a Water Treatment Lead to join our growing treatment practice in Central and South Texas.

The role may be based in Austin, San Marcos, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, or Harlingen with a flexible scope shaped around the candidate's strengths. You will provide technical leadership across planning, design and construction of municipal water treatment facilities, mentoring staff, and coordinating with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Texas licensure within six months.
• 6+ years of relevant water treatment, advanced water treatment, or related municipal treatment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead/serve in a key technical role on planning, evaluation, design and construction of municipal water treatment facilities.
• Provide technical leadership for complex treatment projects: development/evaluation of alternatives, design criteria, key engineering decisions.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams or partner with project managers to deliver projects successfully.
