Job summary

Cleanwater1, Inc. is hiring a Field Service Technician in Vineland, NJ to install, startup, repair and maintain water treatment equipment for our customers. The role requires weekly travel to job sites across the United States and Canada, and reports to the Service Manager.

Hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, with potential for weekends. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industry experience, strong communication and troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience installing/repairing/maintaining water treatment equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office for reports.
• Machinery demonstration/pilot testing or controls knowledge.
• Experience with electro-mechanical pneumatics hydraulics, AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and pump systems.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Strong mechanical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare for startup or service.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Strong time management and organization skills.
• Availability to work 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with ability and willingness to work flexible shifts and weekends and adapt to changing work schedules; and
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR will be run regularly).
• Must comply with drug testing requirements as mandated by customer site policies to ensure eligibility for on-site access

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment startup and commissioning services including technical consultation, installation inspection and assistance.
• Maintain composure and professionalism while addressing challenges at customer job sites.
• Provide on-site training of customer personnel on proper operation of equipment.
• Repair machines and systems, including rebuilds, and assist with refurbishments.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Make technical recommendations to maintenance technicians and drive sales of parts and services.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports recording repairs, warranty services, and maintenance performed.
• Properly document, label, and return all defective parts resulting from repairs, warranty services, and maintenance.
• Always comply with safety and PPE policies at customer sites.
• Determine the correct tools and equipment required to perform day-to-day duties.
• Work with engineering, project management, and sales teams to resolve escalated problems.
• Ensure all materials, tools and equipment are kept safe, secure, and in good working order.
• Travel 60-80% of the time to customer jobsites within the continental United States
