Job summary

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Chemical Engineering Intern to join our Canonsburg, PA office for the summer. The intern will support an experienced Applications Engineer, perform water treatment calculations, and assist with proposal preparation.

The program runs five days a week, 40 hours, for up to 90 days as a temporary internship. The role emphasizes hands-on training in water purification technologies, with exposure to RFP review, process design, and equipment layouts within an industrial

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate Chemical or Environmental Engineering coursework.
• Familiarity with water purification processes (e.g., membrane separation, chemical softening) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support an Applications Engineer in water treatment proposal preparation.
• Review Request for Proposal (RFP) documents and perform process calculations.
• Size water treatment processes and equipment; review PFDs, P&IDs and equipment layouts.
• Follow up on vendor quotations for major equipment and commodities.
