Job summary

City of Temple, TX is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to assist with operating, monitoring, controlling, testing, and troubleshooting the water supply, treatment plant, distribution system and storage facilities. Work under the direct supervision of a licensed operator and be available for a flexible 24-hour schedule, including weekends and holidays.

You will perform laboratory duties, collect samples, operate SCADA, calibrate equipment, and participate in training to obtain the Class D Water

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Class “D” Water Licensing from TCEQ within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors water treatment processes using SCADA and adjusts chemicals per regulatory permits.
• Performs laboratory duties, maintains instruments, collects samples, conducts analyses, and prepares samples for transport.
• Enters sample analysis into daily log and ensures accuracy of records/reports on their shift.
• Assists with inspections, construction, and maintenance projects; follows safety guidelines.
