Job summary

The City of Irving seeks a program lead to coordinate and implement the department's technical training program and oversee all licensing training for Irving Water.

You will deliver training, coordinate with outside vendors, purchase materials, and manage the IISD partnership for career and technical education while supporting conservation initiatives through public education and leak detection efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Water Operations Management, or related field.
• Three years of water distribution system experience, including at least one year in water operations.
• One year of wastewater operations experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and TCEQ licenses or ability to obtain them as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the department's technical training program.
• Oversee all licensing training for Irving Water.
• Deliver training and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Purchase training materials and manage the IISD partnership for career and technical education.
• Support water conservation initiatives through public education and the City’s leak detection program.
• Provide technical guidance to two to five employees.
