Gfoat in Irving, Texas is seeking a maintenance worker for water and wastewater systems. Responsibilities include answering public inquiries, maintaining supplies, and performing maintenance duties necessary for efficient operation.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, two years of relevant experience, and required licenses including a Class A CDL. Knowledge in the use of backhoe and other heavy equipment is essential. Day, evening, or night shifts may be available.

• Ability to work in stand-by repair crew rotation.

wastewater systems; answering questions and providing information to the public; preparing a variety of reports; providing assistance in maintaining stock of supplies and materials; supervising one or more maintenance workers in the absence of the crew leader; and performing maintenance support duties necessary to the continued efficient operation of the department. This position may be utilized as part of the in‑house pipe laying crew replacing aged water and wastewater systems.

A high school diploma or GED and two years water and wastewater maintenance or related experience required. A Class A CDL Texas driver’s license and a current state‑mandated TCEQ Class C Water and Collection II Wastewater licenses also required. Must have the ability to operate a backhoe and other heavy equipment and have knowledge of water boring equipment, pneumatic missiles and other tools / equipment used in the repair and maintenance of water and wastewater mains. Day, evening or night shift may be available. Will work in the stand‑by repair crew rotation as required. Applicants must submit hours of availability with application.
