Job summary

The Vermont League of Cities and Towns seeks a Water Utility Technician (Transmission Maintenance Technician) to perform maintenance and repairs on CWD equipment and facilities across plant, pump stations, garages, storage tanks, and transmission systems. Reading CWD master meters is part of the role.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and strive to obtain a Vermont Class D Water System Operator’s Certificate within 12 months, plus a valid Vermont driver's license and strong mechanical

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and skills in mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• On-call checklist completion and probationary period prerequisites for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and general repair of assigned equipment and facilities.
• Read the CWD master meters within the transmission system.
• Work in all district facilities including plant, pump stations, garages, grounds, storage tanks, and underground vaults.
