Job summary

Oxy is seeking a Field Operator focused on disposal and treated water production in New Mexico. You will work with production techs, completions, and team leads to optimize water handling, SWD capacity, and treatment systems under a demanding frac schedule.

The role emphasizes equipment maintenance, data input, line monitoring, and proactive safety practices, with opportunities to contribute to continuous operational improvements. Must be hands-on and collaborative.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• 0–5 years of oil and gas experience.
• Knowledge of water systems operations preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Equipment and facility isolation and maintenance duties as needed.
• Input data into MAXIMO and related systems.
• Monitor SWDs, pipelines, and water ponds for safety and efficiency.
• Respond to 24-hour call-outs during shifts.
• Inspect wells, pipelines, pumps, and lines for leaks and integrity.
• Support safety meetings and maintain site housekeeping.
