Job summary

The Town of Silver City is seeking a Water Crewmember to perform semi-skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater systems. Under close supervision, you will handle piping, valves and related accessories in the Utilities department.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, NM driver’s license with clean record (CDL preferred), and 2 years’ related experience. Certification within 18 months is expected; substitute qualifications may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• New Mexico Driver's License with clean driving record; CDL preferred.
• NM Water Level Certification 1 or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
• Two years of related laborer/maintenance experience.
• Heavy equipment experience preferred.
