Job summary

Reworld in the United States (Massachusetts) is seeking a Water Systems Operator to manage the safe, efficient operation of boiler makeup and cooling water systems at our facilities. You will handle routine maintenance of water treatment equipment, monitor chemistry, and ensure accurate logs are kept.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with high-pressure boilers and auxiliary systems; water testing is a plus.
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain water system equipment including cleaning strainers/pumps and replacing leaky fittings.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and manage reagent inventories; RE-Use systems, RO and UF, and other attached chemistries.
• Coordinate and execute off-loading procedures of water treatment chemical deliveries.
• Monitor boiler, steam, condensate chemistry, and water treatment equipment performance.
• Understand safety data sheets for reagents/chemicals used daily.
• Keep dikes and trenches clear; maintain logs and periodic cleaning of water systems.
• Follow operating procedures for the system and monitor demineralizers, pretreatment, RO, and condensate polishing.
• Communicate system status effectively to all shift personnel.
• Test boiler water, steam, and cooling tower chemistry; perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Support water washing, outages, and shift coverage as required.
• Additional duties to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
