The City of Houston is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the Houston Drinking Water Distribution System Maintenance and Operations. This role manages repairs, preventive maintenance, and gas of water mains, valves, hydrants, manholes, and related facilities while ensuring asset management and safety standards.

Ideal candidate has a 4-year degree, 7+ years of supervisory experience, and familiarity with INFOR, GIS/GIMS, and MS Office.

Qualifications

Requires a thorough understanding of analytical, technical or professional discipline.
Seven (7) years of related supervisory experience.
Education substitution allowed on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilités

Oversees and directs operations for Distribution System Maintenance and Operations.
Plans and supervises repair and preventive maintenance of water mains, valves, hydrants, and related facilities.
Maintains asset management and inventory control knowledge.
Monitors contractors/inspectors to meet contractual requirements.
Coordinates work with other departments and agencies to ensure efficient operations.
Implements training and keeps current on technology and regulatory changes.
Monitors budgeting and assists in annual budget preparation.
