Dominium manages affordable housing communities across the United States and seeks a Water Systems Supervisor to lead the Water Systems team, oversee preventive maintenance, and coordinate leak detection and repair across properties. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational training in plumbing, facilities maintenance, building systems, utilities, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in multifamily property maintenance, facilities maintenance, utility operations, plumbing or building systems, or a related field.
  • Experience providing work direction, coordinating field operations, or leading maintenance-related activities required.
  • Multifamily property maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating preventive maintenance, service requests, work orders, field technicians, or maintenance activities across multiple properties or locations.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems, water distribution, leak identification, preventive maintenance, and general building maintenance.
  • Experience with water monitoring, submetering, leak detection, utility management systems, or similar technology preferred.
  • Ability to interpret system alerts, maintenance reports, water usage data, and other operational information to establish priorities and drive work through completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work, coordinate resources, monitor completion, and follow up on unresolved issues.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, remove barriers, and appropriately escalating significant or recurring issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple properties, competing priorities, and time-sensitive needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with property teams, Corporate Maintenance, leadership, and outside vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams, with the ability to learn and effectively use applicable water-monitoring, leak-detection, work-order, property-management, and inventory systems.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance required.
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned properties and up to 20% overnight or out of state.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day leadership and work direction to Water Systems Specialists, including scheduling work and prioritizing assignments.
  • Monitors ION system performance and reporting to identify non-functioning meters, routers, or communication issues.
  • Establishes and manages a proactive preventive maintenance program for water system equipment.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates maintenance and leak-remediation activities to maximize system functionality.
  • Ensures leaks and water system issues are assigned, investigated, addressed, and tracked through completion.
  • Coordinates internal and external resources for maintenance and leak remediation.
  • Coordinates ordering, registration, shipment, tracking, and inventory of meters, routers, batteries, and replacement equipment.
  • Manages equipment warranty claims, vendor service requests, and external support for water systems.
  • Analyzes maintenance activity, leak trends, and response times to improve reliability and reduce costs.
  • Develops and maintains standardized procedures for preventive maintenance, leak response, and escalation.
  • Communicates planned property work, findings, and remediation plans to stakeholders.
  • Provides coaching and technical support to Water Systems Specialists.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
