Bay Systems Consulting, Inc. (BSC) is seeking a Water Systems Engineer to design, operate, and maintain ultra-pure water infrastructure supporting ALS-U and ALS operations.

You will serve as the technical authority for cooling water systems, coordinating with engineering, facilities, operations, installation, controls, EH&S, and scientific staff to ensure reliability and safety. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years in design, operation, and/or maintenance of industrial water systems.
• Experience with LCW/DI water systems.
• Ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings and P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design and engineering of cooling water systems for ALS-U and ALS ops.
• Develop system architectures, P&IDs, flow diagrams, hydraulic calculations, and design specs.
• Perform analyses on heat transfer, fluid flow, pump sizing, pressure drops, and water quality management.
• Coordinate procurement, integration with accelerator and facility systems, and compliance with codes.
• Develop PM programs and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Manage system expansions or retrofits and documentation.
