Job summary

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is seeking a Water Systems Engineer in Berkeley, CA to design, operate, and maintain cooling water infrastructure for ALS-U and ongoing operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in industrial water systems design/operation/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of cooling water systems for ALS-U and operations.
• Develop system architectures, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and equipment specs.
• Coordinate with engineering, facilities, EH&S, and scientific staff to meet reliability and safety goals.
• Plan, execute, and oversee PM schedules; troubleshoot pump, resin, and leak issues.
