Job summary

Essnova Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Water Systems to support the ALS-U project at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, CA.

You will lead cooling water system design, perform hydraulic analyses, and coordinate integration with accelerator, HVAC, and facility utilities. The role focuses on LCW and DI water systems, thermal management, and high-reliability mechanical infrastructure in an onsite laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional engineering experience with industrial water systems.
• Experience with LCW/DI water systems, water purity, corrosion prevention, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, and optimization of cooling water systems for ALS-U and ALS infrastructure.
• Develop P&IDs, flow diagrams, hydraulic calculations, equipment specs, and documentation.
