Job summary

Town of Clayton seeks a hands-on controls and automation professional to maintain and improve the town's water and wastewater infrastructure. You will troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain SCADA, PLCs, VFDs and related systems while supervising pump and instrumentation technicians.

This role emphasizes coordination of preventive/predictive maintenance and contractor work in a public utility setting, with strong emphasis on electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Vocational or technical education in electrical/electronic fields is preferred.
• Water and wastewater certifications are preferred, but equivalent education/experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, modify and maintain SCADA, PLCs, VFDs and related systems.
• Supervise pump and instrumentation technicians and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Coordinate contractor work and equipment installations for water/wastewater operations.
